The POINTED WHITE FAMILY. The rabbit that has all color restricted to just the points - nose/lower muzzle, ears, feet and tail. The Himalayan Gene blocks color so well that even the eye color is restricted and you see the blood vessels in the eye (this what causes the eyes on the REW to look pink as well).

If a Siamese Family rabbit carries this gene as a recessive it will have an impact on Siamese color tending to lighten it up. It is dominant over REW (albino) but the REW gene will impact the Himalayan color and cause lighter point color. This variety occurs in all colors phases Black, Blue, Chocolate and Lilac.

BE VERY CAREFUL - if Pointed Whites are not breed in self only you will get Agouti and Tan Pattern points.

YOUNG POINTED WHITES. Like Siamese this is a color that is impacted by temperature - the cooler the environment the darker the points. If the bunny becomes too chilled before its hair has gown in it can be very silver gray on its entire body.
This color will shed out with the first molt. All Pointed Whites begin life as white and develop color. The first place it will appear is on the base of the tail and tips of the ears. The young Pointed White usually needs an adolescent molt (around 3-4
months of age) to begin to show good color.
